This is by far the greatest movie script ever made. I wish I could write as well as David Peoples does. Jeb Stuart is also a really good writer also. You guys rock!

This is a weak script. It feels like it slipped through development without one person doing coverage on it. It is essentially "Alien" underwater, with more immature characters, silly corporate motivations and flawed, poorly revealed science. The plotting is laborious and obvious throughout. Why does the beginning of the script spend so much time on adolescent banter? And the ship discovery is weak. They've been mining the area for a month and they don't notice a sunken Soviet ship? So no one's got Sonar turned on? This feels like an exec dumped a concept "Alien Underwater" on some decent writers and drove a truck of money up their houses to do it.
